President of the Union Meets Secretary-General and Assistants to
Discuss Current Issues and Committee Initiatives and Upcoming Conferences
Doha –
His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, President of the
Union, held a meeting yesterday afternoon at the Union headquarters with
Secretary-General Dr. Ali Muhammad Al-Sallabi, in the presence of Assistant
Secretaries Sheikh Prof. Dr. Fadl Murad and Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al-Hashimi. The
meeting aimed to follow up on institutional developments and address the most
pressing issues facing the Ummah.
The
meeting reviewed several proposals submitted by committee heads, focusing
primarily on current critical issues, including developments regarding the
closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the legislation of the death penalty for
prisoners by the Israeli entity, and the potential humanitarian and legal
repercussions. Attendees agreed on preparing practical steps to address these
matters.
In this
context, the upcoming conference sponsored by the Union and in cooperation with
various Islamic institutions and associations was discussed. The conference,
organized by the Jerusalem and Palestine Committee, will be held under the
title “Al-Aqsa Calls for Help.”
The
meeting also addressed several administrative matters as part of efforts to
enhance institutional performance and improve operational efficiency within the
Union.
