60,000 Martyrs in Gaza: A Bloody Toll of Ongoing Zionist
Genocide Backed by the U.S.
The
Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the death toll
from the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Zionist occupation has risen to
60,138 martyrs, with 146,269 wounded since October 7, 2023.
In its
daily report, the ministry stated that 104 people were martyred and 399 others
injured in the past 24 hours, including one martyr whose body was recovered
from beneath the rubble.
Since
the resumption of the Zionist assault on March 18, around 8,970 Palestinians
have been killed and 34,228 injured.
The
number of victims awaiting humanitarian aid has also surged. Since May 27, at
least 1,239 Palestinians have been martyred and over 8,152 wounded after
Israeli occupation forces opened fire directly on civilians lined up near aid
distribution centers. Within the past 24 hours alone, 60 people were killed and
195 injured in such attacks.
It is
worth noting that the Zionist occupation, with full U.S. backing, continues its
brutal assault on Gaza since October 2023, committing crimes of mass murder,
starvation, and forced displacement—defying the International Court of
Justice’s orders to halt the genocide. The catastrophic humanitarian crisis has
resulted in over 9,000 missing persons and famine that has claimed the lives of
dozens of children.
