Coordination between the Imams Committee
of the Union and the Mufti of Bursa to Host the International Scientific Forum
for Imams Next August
A coordination meeting was recently held between Dr.
Taha Ammar, member of the Imams and Preachers Committee of the International
Union of Muslim Scholars, representing the Committee’s Chairman, and Mr. Yavuz
Selim Karabayır, Mufti of Bursa Province in Turkey.
The meeting took place as part of the preparatory
efforts for hosting the "Second International Scientific Forum for
Imams," scheduled to be held from August 22 to 28 in Bursa Province.
An agreement was reached to prepare the venue for the
forum and provide full hospitality to the participating delegations, with
support from the Mufti of Bursa.
The Imams and Preachers Committee is one of the
Union’s committees that aims to develop and qualify imams and preachers across
the Islamic world and promotes cooperation with official religious institutions
to achieve its religious and scholarly objectives.
