Qaradaghi Issues Urgent Appeal to Save Gaza from Genocide, Starvation, and Siege—Calls for Immediate Opening of Crossings (Video)

In a painful and recorded plea, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, issued a resounding cry to the leaders, scholars, and peoples of the Islamic Ummah, urging immediate and serious action to save Gaza from an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

Save Gaza from Genocide and Siege

Qaradaghi stated: “Gaza is being killed today in two ways: bombardment by tanks, aircraft, and missiles, and slow death by hunger, thirst, and disease—tens of thousands are now on the brink of death.”

He added with sorrow: “The scenes we are witnessing of Gaza’s children, women, diseases, and famine are unlike anything history has ever seen.”

He passionately asked: “By Him in whose hand is my soul, when will the hearts of Muslim leaders be moved?

When will the hearts of influential religious bodies such as Al-Azhar, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other religious and official institutions be stirred?

When will neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan act?”

Immediate Opening of Gaza Crossings

His Eminence stressed that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are in dire need of urgent aid and support from their brothers in the Arab and Islamic worlds. He emphasized the necessity of “opening the crossings, providing food and medicine, and stopping the deadly aggression and siege.”

In conclusion, Qaradaghi addressed the leaders of the Islamic world and the free world, saying:

“I call upon you to take immediate and practical action to stop the bloodshed and end the policies of genocide and systematic starvation being inflicted on our people in Gaza.”

Since October 7, 2023, the Zionist occupation’s genocide in Gaza has left over 209,000 Palestinians killed or injured—most of them children and women—with more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced and a famine that has claimed countless lives.
