Al-Qaradaghi: "Gaza Faces Genocide and Siege Exposing the
Ummah’s Inaction"
The
grand demonstration organized by dozens of institutions in Malaysia’s capital,
Kuala Lumpur, under the slogan “Malaysia Rises for Palestine,” featured a video
message from His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohieddine Al-Qaradaghi, President of
the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), addressing the catastrophic
situation in Gaza under the actions of the Zionist occupation.
A Genocidal War and Deadly Siege
In his
video message, Al-Qaradaghi affirmed that Gaza is enduring a full-scale
genocidal war, accompanied by a siege that doubles the suffering and prevents
the delivery of food, medicine, and water, exacerbating the hardship of
children, women, and the elderly.
He said:
“They are dying from hunger and thirst, from the lack of medicine and
humanitarian aid, while the Zionist occupation continues systematic killing and
destruction,” stressing that the desired peace is entirely absent.
Gaza’s
Resilience Reveals the Ummah’s Inaction
He added
that the steadfastness of the people of Gaza and Al-Quds (Jerusalem), the
valiant resistance, and the blessed operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” have prevented
the occupation’s plan to demolish Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple.
He
emphasized that the city’s tragedy exposes the Islamic Ummah’s negligence,
particularly Egypt and Jordan, in fulfilling their duties toward the besieged
Gaza Strip, asserting that everyone is accountable before God for every life
lost due to hunger, thirst, or abandonment.
Global Solidarity and a Call to End the Aggression
Al-Qaradaghi
praised the positions of free peoples, especially the Malaysian people, for
their ongoing solidarity, affirming that such support is the least that can be
done for Gaza and Palestine.
Accompanying
the video message at the demonstration were calls to lift the siege on Gaza
immediately, implement International Criminal Court decisions regarding
genocide crimes, boycott companies collaborating with the Zionist occupation,
and hold the United States responsible for the continuation of the aggression.
Since
October 7, 2023, the Zionist occupation has continued its brutal genocidal war,
resulting in the martyrdom of 61,776 Palestinians and injuries to 154,906
others, the majority being children and women, in addition to more than 9,000
missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced, and a devastating famine
that claimed 239 lives, including 106 children, in a crime considered among the
most heinous chapters of modern history.
