
The Union’s Board of Trustees Holds Its Third Meeting in Turkey
to Discuss the 2026 Plan and Emerging Issues of the Ummah
The
third meeting of the Board of Trustees, as part of its sixth term, commenced
this morning at the headquarters of the “Ummat” Association – the Turkey branch
of the International Union of Muslim Scholars. The meeting is being held over
two days, Saturday and Sunday, 28–29 Rajab 1447 AH, corresponding to January
17–18, 2026.
Members
of the Board of Trustees are participating in the meeting both in person and
via video conferencing (Zoom), reflecting the Board’s commitment to ensuring
broad and effective participation.
The
meeting’s agenda includes the presentation and discussion of administrative
reports from the Union’s various bodies, including the Presidency, the General
Secretariat, committees, and branches. It also features a comprehensive
discussion of the Union’s 2026 plan, along with the approval of related
decisions and recommendations.
In
addition, the meeting is witnessing in-depth discussions on the latest
developments concerning the issues of the Ummah and the Islamic world, in light
of current regional and international developments and the scholarly
responsibilities and legal positions they entail.
The
Board of Trustees is scheduled to issue an official statement on Sunday
evening, to be presented to the media, outlining the key decisions and
recommendations reached during the meeting.
