Over 61,000 Martyrs and 155,000 Injured in the Ongoing Zionist
Extermination War on Gaza
Gaza –
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that the death toll
from the extermination war waged by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip
for the past 22 months has exceeded 61,000 martyrs and more than 155,000
injured.
In its
daily statement, the Ministry reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip
received around 70 martyrs and nearly 400 wounded over the past 24 hours due to
the ongoing Zionist attacks.
The
Ministry pointed out that the casualties among those awaiting aid have risen
since May 27 to nearly 2,000 martyrs and more than 14,000 injured, following a
new massacre committed by the occupation that left dozens dead and wounded in a
single day.
Furthermore,
the number of martyrs has surpassed 10,000 since the resumption of Israeli
operations on March 18, in addition to tens of thousands of injured.
The
Ministry confirmed that victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the
streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to
intense bombardment and a lack of equipment.
Since
October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation, with American support, has continued a
comprehensive extermination campaign on Gaza, involving killing, starvation,
destruction, and forced displacement, disregarding international appeals and
orders from the International Court of Justice to halt its crimes.
Alongside
the martyrs and injured—most of whom are women and children—the massacres have
resulted in thousands of missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced
individuals, and the spread of famine that has claimed many lives.
