Receives Egyptian Media Figure Qutb Al-Arabi on His First Visit to the New
Headquarters in Doha
His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Dr.
Ali Mohieddin Al-Qaradaghi, Secretary-General of the International Union of
Muslim Scholars (IUMS), received today, Saturday, the Egyptian journalist and
media personality Qutb Al-Arabi in his office at the Union’s new main headquarters
in the Qatari capital, Doha. This marked Al-Arabi’s first visit to the Union’s
new premises.
During the meeting, Qutb
Al-Arabi affirmed his full support for the IUMS’s role in promoting Muslim
unity, advancing the nation, and addressing the phenomenon of Islamophobia. He
also praised the intellectual and scholarly efforts undertaken by the Union
during this pivotal stage.
At the conclusion of the visit,
Qutb Al-Arabi presented Sheikh Al-Qaradaghi with a copy of his recently
published book, “Morsi and the Media: The Battle of Memory – An Insider’s
Perspective”, which provides a documented account from inside the “media kitchen”
and represents the first comprehensive documentation of media management during
the presidency of the late President Mohamed Morsi.
The book aims to reveal the
truth and refute the falsehoods that targeted the image of the martyred
president and his brief period in office, through a professional and analytical
reading based on first-hand experience of the events. May Allah have mercy on
him.
