Verona – Italy

The Italian Institute for Islamic and Human Sciences “Bayan” celebrated the graduation of its first academic cohort for the 2024–2025 academic year during a scholarly ceremony held on Saturday, 31 January 2026, in the northern Italian city of Verona, with broad academic and institutional participation from within Italy and abroad.

The event marked a pivotal milestone in the institute’s journey, reflecting its transition from the establishment phase to the consolidation of its academic project and the strengthening of its presence within the European educational landscape.

The ceremony crowned a three-year academic process characterized by systematic work and institutional development, involving the institute’s administration, faculty members, and academic and administrative staff, with the aim of producing scholarly outcomes in line with an integrated educational vision.

This vision is grounded in combining Islamic studies with the human sciences within a well-regulated European context that responds to contemporary challenges and strikes a balance between authenticity and openness.

The event was attended by prominent academic, charitable, and institutional figures, including the Deputy Director General of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) of the State of Kuwait, alongside representatives of Italian universities and Islamic institutions and organizations.

Graduating students and their families also took part in the ceremony, in an atmosphere marked by pride in the outcomes of the scholarly project and affirmation of its importance in supporting high-quality education within European communities.

Speeches delivered during the ceremony underscored the importance of rigorous academic initiatives in enhancing educational quality and in building conscious leadership capable of positive engagement with its social environment.

The experience of the “Bayan” Institute was also highlighted as a promising model for the development of Islamic and humanistic education in Europe, combining academic depth with social responsibility.

Graduates emerged as the focal point of the event and its true outcome, as remarks by their representatives and faculty members reflected the depth of the educational and human experience they underwent throughout their years of study.

These remarks demonstrated the level of scholarly formation the institute has been committed to establishing since its founding, within an educational vision that goes beyond knowledge acquisition to fostering awareness and a sense of responsibility.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were awarded to the graduates and partner entities were honored, in an atmosphere reflecting institutional satisfaction with the progress achieved.

The event also opened new horizons for expanding partnerships and enhancing the academic presence of the “Bayan” Institute on the European stage in the coming phase.
