Union Presidency Holds 15th Meeting, Strengthens Institutional
Work, and Reaffirms Support for Al-Aqsa and the Prisoners
The
Presidency of the World Union of Muslim Scholars held its 15th meeting on
Wednesday, April 8, via Zoom, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen
institutional work and actively engage in the issues affecting the Muslim
Ummah.
The
meeting was chaired by His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Dr. Ali Mohieddine
Al-Qaradaghi, with the participation of his esteemed deputies: Sheikh Mohammed
Al-Hassan Al-Dadoo, Sheikh Prof. Dr. Abdelmajid Al-Najar, and Sheikh Dr. Salem
Saqqaf Al-Jafri, alongside the Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Ali Mohammed
Al-Sallabi.
During
the meeting, the Presidency reviewed progress reports and the activities of the
President and his deputies, reflecting the vitality of the Union’s
institutional performance and its commitment to developing programs and
initiatives.
The
meeting also discussed updates on several key issues, foremost among them the
situation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the violations it faces, in addition to the
issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, emphasizing the continuation
of monitoring and attention to these critical matters.
This
meeting reaffirms the Union Presidency’s commitment to maintaining organized
institutional work and enhancing its role in serving the issues of the Muslim
Ummah with a strong institutional vision.
