Khair Al-Wara
Institute celebrated its 10th anniversary on the evening of Thursday, January
1, 2026, with a grand Qur’anic ceremony dedicated to honoring the fifth cohort
of Qur’an memorizers and the fourth cohort of scholars authorized with a
continuous chain of narration, totaling 150 huffaz and authorized scholars. The
event was held under the theme: “They are the People of Allah and the Chosen
Elite.”
This cohort was
named in honor of the martyr Dr. Muhammad Al-Amin Muhammad Al-Mustafa, in
recognition of his lifelong contributions and dedication.
Scientific Supervision and Broad Attendance
The ceremony was
held under the scientific supervision of:
· Professor Dr. Ali Mohieddin
Al-Qaradaghi, President of the
International Union of Muslim Scholars.
· Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hassan Al-Dadou, Vice President of the Union and Head of the
Scholars’ Training Center in Mauritania.
The event witnessed
notable attendance from local scholars, sheikhs, and instructors of the
institute, along with its administrative and educational staff, representatives
from the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Traditional Education, and members of
charitable and Qur’anic organizations.
Qur’anic Messages and Inspiring Speeches
The celebration
began with the recitation of Qur’anic verses, followed by various segments,
including recitations by the huffaz and authorized scholars, presentations
highlighting the institute’s journey, and official speeches.
In his address,
Sheikh Ali Al-Qaradaghi emphasized that memorizing the Qur’an is a great honor
with multiplied rewards, stressing that true recognition for the memorizers
lies in practicing the Qur’an, inviting others to it, and defending its causes.
He urged the
graduates to take an active role in education, guidance, and empowering the
religion, noting that huffaz are entrusted with a noble mission and a religious
responsibility to save the nation from ignorance and backwardness, and to
fulfill the duty of stewardship on Earth.
He also highlighted
that the Sharia grants Qur’an carriers a pivotal role that must not be
neglected, affirming that the revival of the Ummah is only possible through
sincere return to the Qur’an and defending its principles.
A Decade of Dedication
Sheikh Moussa Amar,
Director of the institute, noted that this celebration holds special
significance as it coincides with the 10-year milestone of Khair Al-Wara
Institute, which has, since its inception, focused on teaching the Qur’an and
its sciences, and cultivating moral character through its teachings.
He explained that
over the past decade, the institute has graduated nearly 800 huffaz and
authorized scholars, organized dozens of educational and scientific activities,
and provided a safe educational haven for hundreds of students of all ages,
protecting them from trials and doubts.
He pointed out that
the institute has, to date, graduated five cohorts of huffaz and four cohorts
of authorized scholars, in addition to specialized study circles, including the
Shatibiyyah circle in the seven canonical Qur’anic readings. The current cohort
comprises 80 memorizers and 61 authorized scholars with a continuous chain of
narration in the Warsh and Qalun recitations according to Imam Nafi’.
Honoring and Crowning the Graduates
The ceremony
concluded with the honoring of several instructors and administrative staff of
the institute, alongside the graduating huffaz and authorized scholars, in a
spiritual atmosphere reflecting the status of the Qur’an and its carriers, and
reinforcing the institute’s mission in serving the Qur’an and disseminating its
knowledge.
